Some years ago I accompanied a friend, Mary O'Malley, founder of  Belfast's Lyric Theatre, to a meeting of a renowned Literary Society  where she gave a talk on W.B. Yeats, the playwright. I illustrated the  talk with readings from Yeats's major plays. At the end of the evening, a  member of the committee thanked us profusely and added that although  she had had a wonderful education at a local grammar school, no one had  ever told her that Keats wrote plays. She added that before going to  sleep that night she was going to take out her Keats and read some of  these wonderful dramas. We wished her luck.
